UNDP Turkey led Covid-19 Resilience and Response Project, which is funded by the Government of Japan aims to strengthen the health system and addresses the needs and procurement of necessary equipment, which will support the efforts of the Ministry of Health to enhance their crisis response actions.
Turkey has a comprehensive strategy to increase testing capacity in contact tracing and to enhance test equipment capacity, particularly PCR tests, which are more accurate in diagnosing the Covid-19.
Within the project as a first step, 14 real time PCR equipment were provided to the Laboratory of General Directorate of Public Health to conduct tests.
