Idea Factory supports future entrepreneurs in Konya and Kayseri

The Idea Factory Entrepreneurship Program was launched within the scope of job creation activities of Applied SME Capability Center – Model Factory Project in Konya and Kayseri to increase the employability of Syrians and host communities and create decent job opportunities for them by improving the entrepreneurship and business development ecosystem.

The program which is funded by German Development Bank (KfW), aims to deliver basic and advanced level entrepreneurship trainings to Syrians under Temporary Protection and host communities, and following this a business incubation program will be launched to support the entrepreneur candidates who wish to start or develop their own businesses.

Kayseri Idea Factory

In this context, entrepreneurship trainings started in Kayseri on December 9, 2019. Approximately 200 people, consisting of Syrians and Turkish citizens were provided with basic entrepreneurship trainings and 75 people participated in advanced entrepreneurship trainings. 50 successful entrepreneur candidates who have technology and innovation-oriented business plans were selected among the participants of advanced trainings. Followingly, Kayseri Idea Factory Incubation program, which will last for 4 months, was launched on 11 February 2020.

Konya Idea Factory

In Konya, entrepreneurship trainings which are delivered by Başkent Consulting and Training Center started on February 10, 2020, with approximately 200 entrepreneur candidates. 70 participants successfully completed the trainings and were chosen to continue in the next phase of the program. Konya Idea Factory Incubation Program is expected to start in March 2020.

Upon the completion of the Idea Factory Entrepreneurship Program in Konya and Kayseri, 20 entrepreneur candidates with a technology and innovation oriented business plan are expected to start their own businesses.
