What we do

UNDP Türkiye works for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth, Inclusive and Democratic Governance and Climate Change and Environment. For more than 50 years the UNDP has worked in close partnership with the Türkiye Government and numerous national and international institutions, including NGOs, academics and the business community.

in HDI

Türkiye is among the first group of countries in the Human Development Index and ranked 45th.
Meanwhile, in Gender Inequality Index Türkiye ranked 63rd, and in the Gender Development Index placed among the third group of countries.
Closing gender gaps is one of the important tools for advancing human development!

NEET women

received mentoring support in addition to vocational and empowerment training under Young Women Building Their Future project. After the training and mentoring program, 211 women were employed.

women-led small businesses

in all 11 earthquake-affected provinces received cash grant support through UNDP’s Sweden funded programme.

benefitted from life skills trainings, vocational trainings, Turkish language courses, trainings for trainers provided by the programme.

Private Sector Portfolio reached out to more than 5 million lives and 51% of these were women.
