UNV has been working with the organizations working with Syrian women and host communities, in order to help increase the employability and social cohesion within communities under the project called “Strengthening social and economic integration of Syrian women in Southeast Anatolia region through community volunteer-based solutions” dedicated to Syria women and host communities as part of a project implemented by United Nations Development Programme in Turkey.
The over goal of this event was to develop trusting, empathetic and respectful relationships between the Syrian and local communities in Turkey using music as a tool of building grassroots solidarity. We hope that this event assisted to bring more attention to the importance of a positive image of the Syrian community towards the rest of the society.
