The Code of Ethics of the Court of Cassation had been discussed by the Board of Presidents

The “Board of Presidents Workshop on the Code of Ethics of the Court of Cassation” had taken place between September 22nd and 23rd in Bolu/Abant, within the framework of “Ethics, Transparency, and Trust Project of the Court of Cassation”, implemented by the Republic of Turkey Court of Cassation Presidency and United Nations Development Programme, hosting the participation of Heads of Chambers, Members, Public Prosecutors and Reporter Judges of the CoC, with the aim of promoting the Code of Ethics inherent to the CoC.

In the first session of the meeting,  the CoC Code of Ethics have been introduced and comments coming from the CoC  and all other relevant institutions  on the Draft Judicial Code of Conduct have been assessed. Within the meeting’s framework, having completed Training of Trainers Programme, the CoC Members have been presented with the “CoC Judicial Code of Conduct Facilitator” certificates and the CoC Public Prosecutors have been presented with the “CoC Code of Conduct for Public Prosecutors Facilitator” certificates. On the first day of the meeting, participants have been briefed by the referred facilitators on the Draft Judicial Code of Conduct, and on the second day on CoC Code of Conduct for Public Prosecutors and the CoC  Code of Conduct for Staff. At the end of the second day, the Board of Presidents meeting has taken place in accordance with the Art. 14 of the CoC law and the Draft Judicial Code of Conduct  has been endorsed unanimously and decided to be submitted to the CoC Grand General Assembly’s approval.
