UN Resident Coordinator Completes Mission in Kars, Ardahan and Iğdır

United Nations Resident Coordinator and UNDP(United Nations Development Program) Resident Representative in Turkey, Irena Vojáčková-Sollorano visited Kars, Ardahan and Iğdır provinces in scope of the Ardahan-Kars-Artvin Development Project.

Ms. Vojáčková-Sollorano accompanied by the Head of Department of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Bekir Sıtkı Özbek, along with Assistant Resident Representative Seher Alacaci and Inclusive Sustainable Growth Portfolio Manager Pelin Rodoplu met with the Governor of Kars, Rahmi Doğan in his office to discuss project outputs obtained so far.

The delegation from Ankara visited the greenhouses and fruit gardens along with the beneficiaries in Kağızman, co-financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock. The delegation also visited the livestock market established in Ardahan, and was later received by the District Director of Agriculture, Dr. Turgay Şişman.
