The Final Draft of Turkey’s First National Climate Change Action Plan

The Final Draft of Turkey’s First National Climate Change Action Plan was released by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

- The Project “Developing Turkey’s National Climate Change Action Plan” which aimed at developing the draft of the Action Plan with participation of all stakeholders, is executed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and implemented by UNDP Turkey.

The participatory and consultative process was realised in the period of March 2010-March 2011 with the participation of more than 700 represetentatives of central government, local authorities, private sector, civil society and academia.

The NCCAP draft was prepared with the inputs of more than 200 institutions/organisations received through two written consultation processes and 46 workshops, which provided a dialogue platform for exchange of information and negotiations between different stakeholders.

The NCCAP draft developed through this participatory and consultative process was submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry at the beginning of April 2011.

The Final Draft of NCCAP prepared by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry integrating the final comments of the members of the Climate Change Coordination Board, is released by Ministry of Environment and Forestry on the following web site: www.iklim.gov.tr.
