UNDP's gender projects in Eastern Europe and Central Asia discussed in Tashkent
UNDP Gender Focal Points from the Eastern Europe & Central Asia Region met in Tashkent to share best practices in gender mainstreaming and outline country specific and regional next steps for 2006.
Participants agreed to contribute original case-studies to a UNDP Gender Mainstreaming Guidebook tailored to the experiences of the countries within the region; and to follow-up within their country offices on a proposed budget allocation of 3 to 5% per project for the purposes of Gender Mainstreaming.
UNDP Turkey presented its approach to gender mainstreaming, as developed under its Gender Mainstreaming Project funded through UNDP Gender Mainstreaming Thematic Trust Fund, financed by the Dutch Government. Please click here to download the presentation.
