Sinéad McSweeney (@smcs)

Appointed Director of Public Policy, EMEA for Twitter in July 2012. Prior to that she was Director of Communications for An Garda Síochána (Ireland's national police service) for almost five years, having been Director of Media and Public Relations for the Police Service of Northern Ireland between 2004 and 2007. From 1996 to 2004 she held a range of political/special adviser positions in the IrishGovernment including at the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and the Attorney General's Office. She started her public service career as a parliamentary transcriber in the Oireachtas, having qualified as a barrister in 1993.

Raj Kumar is the founding President & Editor-in-Chief of Devex, the media platform for the global development community. A social entrepreneur and digital media executive, he's been a part of nine presidential campaigns and was a co-founder of a successful financial information company. Raj saw the world-shaping potential of Devex while a graduate student at the Harvard Kennedy School and promptly dropped out to build it. He has been profiled in Forbes, the Financial Times, Foreign Policy, and the Washington Post, where Devex was called the Bloomberg of foreign aid. Raj is also an active investor in ground-breaking startups, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Clinton Global Initiative, and chair of the World Economic Forum's humanitarian council.

    Ali Ercan Özgür is the Founder and Managing – Director of IDEMA International Development Partners. He is also Spokesperson for Brand Protection Group of Turkey composed of 300 key global brands in Turkey. He has 15 years NGO management experience. Currently, Mr. Özgür is Member of Board and Secretary General of CSR-Turkey and founder of social movements: “”, “”, The Karakoy Institute, the first private think-tank in Turkey.

  • Pelin Rodoplu (@PRodoplu)

    Pelin Rodoplu holds an MBA Degree in Strategy and Finance. She has been serving in different positions at the UNDP since 2004. Ms. Rodoplu serves as Regional Competitiveness Specialist since 2012 supporting Turkey CO in clustering, regional development, SME development, innovation and knowledge management initiatives.


  • Cherie Hart (@hartcherie)

    Cherie Hart is the Communications Advisor in the Regional Service Centre for Europe and CIS in Istanbul. Prior to this post, she was the Regional Communications Advisor in Bangkok. Hart joined UNDP in 1987 as an Information and Media Affairs Officer, and then became Chief of the Audio-Visual and Broadcast Branch in New York. She created the UNDP “Poverty Clock” which counted the number of people born into poverty each minute. She forged a partnership with Discovery Channel in Asia which resulted in several UNDP documentaries, including Himalayan Meltdown, which won Best Documentary at Worldfest in 2010.

    Suat Özçağdaş is the founding partner at Center for Social Innovation. Özçağdaş held executive positions at major civil society organizations such as International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), Turkish Red Crescent Society (Kızılay) and Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey. He established and managed psycho-social support programs in Turkey, Kosovo and Indonesia during his career at Red Cross-Red Crescent Movement.

    Sandrine has been in Turkey since 2006. She has a 20-year banking career but left it to launch Carma in 2014. Carma is a web platform connecting one side Turkish Civil Organisations which needs some skills to increase their impact and on the other side professionals who want to use their skills to impact their community, to find more purpose. In 2013 Carma won the social entrepreneurship award from Akbank. The project is also one of the 10 finalist in the currently running Çözüm Kumbarasıi competition. The platform can be found on

    Sree Sreenivasan is the first Chief Digital Officer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. At the Met, he leads a world-class team on topics he loves: digital, social, mobile, video, apps, data and more. He joined the Met after spending 20+ years at Columbia University as a full-time professor at Columbia Journalism School and a year as the university's first Chief Digital Officer. In 2009, he was named one of AdAge's 25 media people to follow on Twitter and in 2010 was named one of Poynter's 35 most influential people in social media. You can find him at

    Engin Çağlak was born in 1972 in Ankara. After his 12-year journalism career which was his childhood dream, he continues his academic career at Istanbul Commerce University. He works on Journalism, New Media, Social Media, Social Media Agencies, Ethics, Photography and Visual Arts. Married and father of a child.

    Sertac Tasdelen is an entrepreneur, visual artist and model. He is the Founding Director of - Online Donation Platform of Turkey, Founder & CEO of - Online Fortune Telling Platform. Founder & Managing Director of trust. Capital Partners, a Venture Capital firm based in Singapore. He holds a bachelors degree in Management from Bilkent University, Turkey. Travels extensively with current bases at Singapore, Dubai and Istanbul.
