Funding and delivery
UNDP globally has two sources of funding namely (a) regular and (b) non-core resources.
Regular resources are relatively small and relies on funding from Donor countries, that (i) cover cost of limited number of country office positions partially and (ii) act as programmatic seed funding modestly as a part of project budget.
In Turkey’s case, being as an upper middle income country regular resources allocated as programmatic seed funding is around 150,000-USD on annual basis. In that regard, UNDP Turkey CO, in fulfilling its development mandate, heavily relies on funding from non-core resources i.e. funding provided from the Government, Bilateral Donors, Private Sector, EU, GEF and IFIs in the legal context of its projects and programmes.
A breakdown of resources and fund utilization is illustrated below over the last five years and the current year.
